What is meant by “League Age”?
The league age of your child may not be their current, actual age. Your child will play as their league age for the entirety of the season. League age is determined by the following cutoff dates:

•
Baseball - child’s age on August 31st, 2025
•
Softball - child’s age on January 1st, 2025

What and When are Tryouts?
Spring season has MANDATORY tryouts for all divisions excluding Tee Ball and Minor A. Tryouts begin the second week of January with makeups the following week. Dates are division and age specific. For Minor AA and older, players MUST attend the dates for their age group. Players looking to play up a division from where their age typically plays must attend the tryout date for that older age group. 50/70, Juniors, and Seniors will have tryouts for those specific divisions if needed. If a player cannot attend their primary tryout date, then they must attend the makeup date.

Tryout Schedule
•  Day 1 - Majors (All 12's, 11's and those younger wanting to play Majors)
•
Day 2 - Minor AAA (All 10's, 9's and those younger wanting to play Minor AAA)
•
Day 3 - Minor AA (All 8's, 7's and those younger wanting to play Minor AA)

What is the Draft?
For those ages where tryouts occur, a draft will be conducted. The number of teams in each division will be dependent on the number of players registered, head coaches that volunteer, and input from league player agents based on abilities as observed during tryouts. It's not uncommon for players to be drafted into a division lower than they tried out for.

What about ages that don't have tryouts and a draft?
Those teams will be formed based on player requests made in the registration system. MILL will attempt to fill all requests where possible but can't guarantee all will be fulfilled.

What is the cost of Spring Ball?
$95 per player for Tee Ball and Minor A; $120 per player for Minor AA and older. A discount included for siblings. A late fee applies after 12/13/24.

When will I found out what team my player is on?
Rosters will be published late January (after tryouts & drafts) & head coaches will contact players.

Are jerseys or uniforms provided?
Spring Tee Ball and Minor A participants will receive a jersey, hat and pants. Minor AA and above will receive a jersey, hat, belt, and socks.

How often do players practice?
Practices typically begin at the end of January and are held 1 – 3 days per week, depending on division of play. Practice days will be determined by head coach preference and based on field availability. When game play begins teams usually practice 1 – 2 days per week. Practice start times on weeknights are typically 5 pm for Minor AAA and younger and 7 pm for Majors and older.

Where will practices be held?
Mitchell Ellington, MILA, Audubon, and Tropical depending on the number of teams & head coach preference.

How long does the season run?
Practices will begin the end of January with opening day on March 1st. Games will run through May including tournament play for Minor AAA and older divisions.

Older divisions and softball may also play games in Viera, Melbourne, and Satellite Beach, etc.
